Top 5 ways to watch sports without cable

So you want to catch a game, but don’t have cable? I’m sure by now you have become aware that your options are limited. Even in this Internet dominated age the accessibility remains almost illusive due to the tight ownership of sports content. Not to mention the risk of having malware downloaded to your to your PC. Wait I did mention it…I just won’t name names.

If hanging out on your computer at home, in your boxers with a beer in your hand is your idea of the ultimate sport experience then online viewing is the way to go. Here are the “top 5 ways to watch sports without cable”

1 WatchESPN (espn.go.com/watchespn/-WatchESPN is a live stream of ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Goal Line, ESPN Buzzer Beater and ESPN3. No repeat sign in, provided you access content using the same computer. On demand games literally at your fingertips due to compatibility with WIFI, 3G and 4G service. Note: all times Eastern standard. Downside, Not all ISP’s permit access and you must subscribe to a participating TV service provider to access the full range of networks.

2 MYP2P (myp2p.pe/) Live sports + T.V. for free on your PC including Am. football, baseball, basketball, cricket, cycling, football, golf, hockey, motor sports, rugby, tennis + more. Free registration. Just set your time zone and view schedules. Downside, you will need to download some clients to gain access to the lineup.

3 Chrome Live Sports  (chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/) Watch free live sports with Google Chrome just download the Google Chrome toolbar and install the Live Sports extension to view every sport match schedule on live stream. Downside, Chrome’s minimalistic design isn’t eye candy, but the smaller toolbar leaves more room for viewing.

Considering you may be the obnoxious, loud, yell and curse at the screen type…a more social setting may appeal to you (or others).

4 Local sport bar- maybe you will run into a few friends…or make some. Perhaps even hook up < always a bar bonus. Downside, use beer goggles responsibly.

5 *Ralph’s (*insert any name) house- Social yet, potentially embarrassing (for you or others). Mixing alcohol, comfortable settings, televised games and sporto friends, typically (unfortunately) results in locker room antics.

Luckily, we have youtube for the fifth option.
